Waverly Sunday School
"Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes Me." Mark 9:37

Jesus taught the disciples to welcome children. This was a new approach in a society where children were usually treated as second-class citizens. It is important not only to treat children well, but also to teach then about Jesus. Children ministries should never be regarded as less important than those for adults.

How can we live our lives according to God's word written in the Holy Bible? Come join our Sunday School Education Hour and see what you can learn about God's word and how to use it in your daily life. Our Sunday School Education hour is held from 9:15-10:15 at Waverly Lutheran Church in rural Trimont, MN. We welcome all children from pre-K to eighth grade. We divide in to groups according to age. We do crafts, sing songs, and discuss the Holy Bible. Sunday School Education Hour is held from September -May.

Our Sunday School Children put on an annual Christmas Pageant for the public at Waverly. We have fun making props, practicing music, rehearsing the play and of course memorizing our lines. We try to do a different play each year.

We have our children sing in church as much as we can. We sing on Palm Sunday and Mother's Day. On Mother's Day we also give all the ladies at church a carnation.

On our last day of Sunday School we have teacher appreciation and recognition of completed Memory Work. Everyone is invited to attend. Come join in the celebration of thanking our teachers for helping our children learn about God's Word. Also Congratulate the children who completed their memory work. We will be serving cake and punch.

Trinity Sunday School
Our children can start Sunday School the fall after they have turned three years old. They are expected to be in Sunday School until after they are confirmed.
